I left full council last night about 11pm, and headed straight down to Devon for a long weekend.. With radio 4 on as it got to midnight the tide was turning up in Glasgow and I was hoping that Labour would have yet another humiliating defeat. Arriving in Devon at about half midnight I was still waiting for the result... though at some point after that radio 4 turns into bbc world.. What’s interesting here is the world news made absolutely no mention of the election..
So it was great news to wake up to see that Glasgow a labour strong hold for decades has finally fallen... if there were an election tomorrow one wonders if there would be any labour MPs north or south of the border!
Come on Gordon Bring on that election.. you still have no mandate... and the people aren’t as forgetful as you might hope.
