My Right Wing Agenda

Good to see the Govt at last wake up the welfare state problem..  it’s a shame its come to this though, if the government wasn’t totally bankrupt and didn’t look like they were about to collapse at the next election one wonders if they would have made the proposals at all?  To be honest I don’t understand why they weren’t introduced by our previous conservative govt but I guess back then the welfare state wasn’t such a huge burden on the public purse as it is now…

It really all should go back to the state does the minimum… families should look after each other and everyone should try to contribute to society… no one should except a free ticket… if some one becomes in need their family should be first in line to the rescue not the national government… I can see a trend here to our breakdown of society… it’s the same thinking.. it’s not my responsibility… it’s the Governments… We need to break this trend.

I suspect these plans won’t come into force till after the Tories come to power, but if they come into being beforehand then great!
